CODESRIA - Conseil pour le développement de la recherche en sciences sociales en Afrique

Le Conseil pour le développement de la recherche en sciences sociales en Afrique (CODESRIA) propose sur son site de nombreuses ressources en lien direct avec ses objectifs :

- Une série de publications :  CODESRIA publie plus d’une dizaine de revues, des livres, un bulletin trimestriel, ainsi que d’autres publications qui proviennent des activités et des recherches qu’il finance. Celles-ci sont recensées dans un catalogue en ligne, dont un certain nombre sont disponibles en texte intégral au format PDF et en libre accès ici. La recherche documentaire peut être affinée en choisissant la thématique, la région ou le pays, et l’année de parution.

- Un glossaire et dictionnaire des sigles du domaine.

 - Des annonces sur son domaine : conférences, formations, appels à communication, subventions pour les étudiants en fin de cycle, des bourses pour les recherches approfondies mais aussi des offres d’emploi. Des synthèses de conférences organisées sont parfois accessibles.

CODESRIA, né en 1973, réunit un ensemble de chercheurs africains en sciences sociales. Ce réseau panafricain, multilinguistique et pluridisciplinaire dont le siège se trouve à Dakar au Sénégal a pour but :

- La consolidation et l’optimisation de l’échange de connaissances et d’expériences, à travers l’organisation de conférences et le financement de nombreux programmes de recherche portant sur des thématiques multiples et variés : enfance et jeunesse, libertés académiques et droits humains, l’histoire africaine, le genre…etc.

- La promotion des publications issues de la recherche ;

- Le renforcement des compétences des chercheurs à travers des ateliers de formations notamment en méthodologie de la recherche et en rédaction scientifique.

L’interface du site est disponible en langues française, anglaise et portugaise, et les publications sont également rédigées en langue arabe.

  • > Announcement of the winners of CODESRIA's 2016 group research grant competitions

    In early 2016 CODESRIA launched two calls as part of its research grant competitions. The support of research by African and Diaspora scholars is a principal means through which CODESRIA fulfil's its mandate of promoting social science research in Africa and contributing to the continent's development.
